Core Principle:TheSSH Mobileapplication respects your privacy. We do not collect, profile, analyze, or transmit any of your personal data, command history, passwords, keys, or files to developer or third-party servers.
1. Zero Data Collection & Zero Telemetry
TheSSH Mobile: Terminal & SFTPis built on a strict privacy-first architecture:
- No Tracking or Analytics:The application contains zero tracking libraries or telemetry SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or third-party trackers).
- No Advertisements:The application contains zero ads and zero advertising identifiers (no Google AdMob).
- No Remote Accounts:Using the application requires no account registration on external portals.
2. Security of Keys, Passwords & Server Credentials
All server configurations, IP addresses, ports, usernames, passwords, and private cryptographic keys (OpenSSH, Ed25519, RSA, ECDSA):
- Are storedexclusively locally on your device.
- Are hardware-protected using theAndroid KeyStoreand an AES-256 encrypted storage vault (
EncryptedSharedPreferences). - Neither the developer (MerMiko) nor any third party has access to or can read your credentials or private keys.
3. Direct Point-to-Point Connections (No Proxy Servers)
Every SSH terminal session and SFTP file transfer is establisheddirectlybetween your Android device and the target server IP or domain you configure. Network trafficnever passesthrough any intermediate proxy, relay, or tunnel servers operated by MerMiko.
4. Android System Permissions
The application requests only the permissions strictly required for core SSH and SFTP functionality:
android.permission.INTERNET— Required to establish direct TCP/IP network connections to your servers.android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC— Used exclusively to keep active SSH terminal sessions and SFTP transfers alive in the background when switching apps or locking the screen.android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS— Required on Android 13+ to display a persistent status notification for active background SSH sessions and file transfers.android.permission.WAKE_LOCK— Prevents the device CPU from sleeping during active SFTP file transfers.
5. GDPR & COPPA Compliance
Because the application neither collects nor processes personal data on external servers, we maintain no user databases. The application is a professional engineering utility intended for users aged 13 and older.
